Elite Tactical Simulations (ETS) are recruiting Freeform Crew for Stirling Airsoft's Operation: Silent Harvest (a part of their AOW campaign) on the weekend of May 19/20 2007.

We will be playing Afghan Insurgents & Civilians throughout the weekend, attacking and interacting with the player base who will be taking the form of British Soldiers.

Although you may be required to 'perform' a certain number of set pieces / specific roles at times, for the most part of the weekend you will have the same freedom as the players. The reason for LRP crew is to add realism to an already high quality Mil-Sim.

As ETS is a club, we will have to charge, but we do keep this as close to costs as possible and will provide food, beer, BBs and any equipment you may need to borrow. You will, however, need a sturdy pair of boots and appropriate clothing.

The event location will be on the Welsh boarder.

If anyone is interested or would like further details, please email me at ryfelgar(at)hotmail(dot)com

Operation Silent Harvest:

Situation:
After the successful capture of Bin-Laden during Operation: Intrinsic Sord in Jan 07, and with 42 Commando establishing a Forward Operating base defending the vital supply routes and protecting villages throughout the Puktis valley region. British high command have decided a change of direction is needed to solve this problem area.

After 6 months of heavy fighting in the Puktis valley region the 42 commando are being replaced by 2 Para, UKSF are still operational in the area hunting out the Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters and destroying their hideouts.

With the opium trade increasing, it is believed that the Taliban are using this money to help fund their fight in the region.

UKSF Mobility Troop have been operating in North Eastern Afghanistan for the last Eighteen months monitoring Taliban/Al-Qaeda operations in the Paktia mountain ranges.

The deployment of 2 Para is to bring the Opium trade to a halt. 2 Para have also been tasked to protect the bridge junction on the Main Supply Route, and to maintain control of the Patrol base and refueling station at Junction 147 on the Kandahar Highway. They will also provide logistics and support to the Special forces. Whilst protecting local villages and infustructure

Latest Intel would suggest that the taliban are infiltrating the local villages and taking the village men to fight against their will. The Opium routes are coming through the British lines with the production levels getting higher using the heavy fighting as cover.
