Sorry, a cursory check shows that I can't make the spell check button work and there doesn't appear to be any support for it.

Pete,

Okay, have looked up about six or seven Instantasp solutions to this, we just need to get under the bonnet and identify the problem. We're currently prioritising a few other things first, so be patient (as I know you will) and we'll get it sorted.

James has some latest on this. Apparently there is a bug in the code of the package regarding the spell checker. the Instantasp team have ducked answering questions on it several times on their support forum.

We will look at patching it ourselves, but this may take a bit more time.

As allen said, the spelling feature is a third party piece that Instant add in to their offering, but are not responsible for, so when it doesnt work (and alot of users have found it doesnt as it's new to InstantASP in the latest version) it will take a long time around the houses to get it fixed.

In the intermediary period I will look at removing the button from view, until we have a confirmed working fix. But no promises.

Thanks for the replies.  I'll check and see if it works from time to time ay?

As noted in my general announcement, as part of the maintenance and repairs done to the site to improve performance, I've now fixed the Spellchecker. (Even works in firefox now if i'm not mistaken, although i've not tested extensively on that platform)

Hi Guys,

The spellchecker issue should be addressed with our latest forum release. James and I have just updated this site to our latest v4.1.4 release of the forum which resolves a number of small issues and further improves overall performance.

Just to let you know we listen to all the feedback received and work to resolve any issues. I've spent the passed hour reading through all your comments and populating our defect and feature tracking software with your comments for future development cycles.

We would appreciate any feedback on the update. I've already spotted this has created a problem with the Insert Attachment feature. I'll be working with James over the next couple of days to resolve any teething problems.

Many thanks to you all for helping build what looks like an awesome community around our product

Best wishes to James and everyone at Rule7,

Kindest Regards,

Ryan Healey

Hi All,

I've also noticed a few other problems. I'm not sure if these are due to the recent update. I'll be speaking with James ASAP to resolve any issues. Many thanks for your patience and support

Thanks for stopping in Ryan, im sure the users will be glad to know the software provider are as interested in their concerns as the Rule7 Staff are. We'd just like to thank you also, for being so supportive in the move up to 4.1.4 and your ongoing work to resolve our bugs/issues.
