N-E-X-U-S is a live action role-playing game in a grim near-future setting where national governments have crumbled, and in the wake of the chaos, giant corporations have seized control.

What makes N-E-X-U-S different from most other live action systems is that we use a system of organic interaction between participants to generate the ongoing stories and intrigue. We feel this offers you as a player, the most rewarding and mature experience available. The level you choose to participate in the game is entirely up to you. It is for you to explore just how deep the rabbit hole goes. If you want an immersive experience and a challenge on many levels where the onus is on the player to pursue their own goals, in a consistent and expansive, character driven environment, then N-E-X-U-S may be for you.

You’re invited to play whatever role you wish in the grim reality, be it: Mercenary, Medic, Scientist, Merchant or many more. In the Nexus you can explore and control Territories, build and develop Facilities, gather faceless Minions to do your bidding, manipulate Social & Economic conditions and research new Technologies & Equipment, all with tangible effects on game play.

With many participants and each with a myriad of agendas and motivations; intrigue, excitement and even conflict are common place.

--------------------------------

Now in our 4th year, we have a dedicated community with volumes of information supporting the Nexus system on the links above. Please come join the fun, I’m confident you’ll not be disappointed!

We maintain a unique and forward thinking approach to our game design; promoting organically created ‘character driven’ content that reacts to each participants contribution as the storey evolves. More then just a game, more then your average LARP, feedback & reviews suggest this is a new experience.

Weekend long events are based at two excellent sites in NOTTINGHAM & HEREFORD, starting mid JUNE, continuing early AUGUST, and finishing the end of SEPTEMBER. Attendance in 2006 reached 70 participants per event and we have hopes of achieving 100 plus, per event, this year!

We are always on the look-out for new PLAYERS & CREW who wish to share in the unique experience and offer a couple of discount schemes for new and established players. Please check out the links above and direct any questions you may have to me, or any member of our Game team via our forums.

Thanks for reading, please come and check us out!

hi all

nexus, where do i start about this system, it is possibly one of the most fun things iv ever done, its a good system in a great site, the people are cool and very helpful. also because such few people go(in comparison with systems like cp and lt) you get to know everybody wich is ace, and if all the above wasn't enough its only £65 on the gate, £55 if you pre book and for every new person you bring you get £5 off.

log onto the forums and meet all the peeps, they wont bite (unless you meen the wrong characters, but thats a whole different thing)

sup all, hope your all well

We’ve got a lot of interest coming in on the Nexus Community, with new players and groups registering on an almost daily basis! Hopefully we will see 70+ for the first event of the year in Nottingham: June 16+17th

If your thinking about something new this year, why not come and check us out. As the first event of the year is at the awesome new site in Nottingham, now is really a great time to start as a new Character or Group, with everything to play for. We’ve got a lot planned for the event, and with the benefit of many new game elements and set features it really will be something special.

All new players attending their first event receive £10 credit towards future events. We also run a referral scheme, as Fleo discusses above; every new player you introduce to Nexus saves you £5!

Pre-booked - £55 / POG - £65

All the discounts, booking and character management is made easy on our online automated system.

There are still a handful of CREW places left for our June event for people with LARP and or airsoft experience; if your interested, please get in touch!

All the best,
Nik

With only 2 weeks to go until our first event of the year in June, I thought I’d post some images of just a few of the awesome new props and effects you can expect this year

This is just a snap-shot of the exciting work underway for the June Event. You can expect many more surprises as you explore the site, including pitt-fights and IC weapons training, scenario based encounters, resources to scavenge & trade and new NPC Factions to interact with, including many new vivid costumes and props!

As we finalise the development of the system mechanics this year with feedback from the playerbase, we have already begun and will continue to turn our attention to enriching the environment with more wide ranging content, injecting life, death and many more activities to explore and participate in during the events. With a solid mechanical system under us, and our attention now on developing the sights, sounds, smells(yes, smells!) and role-play interactions, this year will be the best yet and a significant improvement on previous years. If you already thought it was good, this year you'd better bring a change of underwear!

If you’ve not yet booked, there is still 2 weeks until the June event and a few days remaining to get booked in at the pre-booked ticket price of £55, don’t delay!

One of the many visitors to the City Slums, that never made it out alive...

Body-Bags, the correct disposal of bodies reduces the risk of disease...

A lightweight, flexible system of 'Bunkeridge', these sandbags can be quickly and easily setup to create choke points and defences...

2 types of Scientific Study / Surgery Tool Kits: BASIC and MODERN (unpainted)..

A Medi-Tool or Armo-Tool with removable charges (unfinished)...

(More quality pictures of the Events, Props, Costume & Weapons can be found on our website and forums.)

Those of you who have been following our progress over the past couple of months will have noticed some delays to getting the Nexus Prop Shop online. I’d just like to say that everything’s going really well despite the delays for which I appologise. All the new items are pretty much ready for the event, we’re just experiencing a few delays completing the webwork due to the humungous workload I have on my plate this year. Rest assured, I will update the shop front soon after the next event after the new items have been field tested…

As always, if you have any questions about the events, anything at all, please fire away!

All the best,

Nik

Unfortunately it is true, the June event has had to be cancelled. We’re all absolutely gutted to say the least.

For more information please see here: http://forums.n-e-x-u-s.org/index.php?showtopic=3161

The next event is now AUGUST 4+5th where the campaign will continue on the frontier territories with the HEREFORD and surrounding Settlements...
