A weekend of tramping around in chain always gets me in a contemplative mood, so I pose this question:
After the event, during the "pitch session" a number of organisers got up and tried to describe in a couple of sentences what their games stand for. There definitely seems to be a trend towards "high politics" as a good selling point (with some notable exceptions) but what got you to the game this weekend?
How would each of you who were at the event sell it to me - obviously if I hadn't been there - in 50 words? What is the uniqueness of the game? What are the important parts of the organisation/logistics? What were the stylistic highlights of the plot?
I don't mean anecdote - rather theme.

High Quality and tightly run with an excellent crew and player base.
Everyone makes an exemplary effort with their kit, props and set dressing and everyone makes a similar effort with fitting into the era and mindset, who but true vikings would not bat an eyelid at the sacrifice of an innocent just to appease the gods.
The plot is easy to find and interact with but is by no means the only thing going on.
Come in the name of the Vikings.

| I think 'Vikings' is a Ronseal name. It conjures up images of mead halls, longships, angry raiders with dane axes, and beardy drunkards shouting 'Odin!' loudly. Except that we've yet to buy a longship, that's pretty much what you get for your money. There's some politics and plot as well...
