Gotta be a first this, when an argument over a sword from an online game led to someone getting killed for real. People like these really need to get a grip.

There is no way you can disprove to me that all reality we percieve, was concieved in the mind of a plastic troll. Now hand me my pills.

Well, I don't know about you, but if someone sold stuff of mine that cost me a lot of time and effort for the amount of money that would get you a new car/new house, then yeah, I might start getting desperate and violent.

I remember I certain well known LRP event being asked by a young lady, if it was alright to play an IC prostitute- she was assured that this was fine but that she should make it very clear to her "clients" that it was IC only. She was surprised at this and informed the event organisor that it wouldn't be a problem because she intended to actually have OOC sex with the "client" in exchange for IC money- maybe she just liked sex and thought she might as well benefit IC from what she was going to spend the weekend doing anyway or maybe she was a scary nutter who couldn't tell reality from fantasy.
( I think she was advised not to attend)

Not the first time actually.   A gentleman from japan who spent all his time on a MMORPG (think it was something like everquest) took his ex-girlfriend to court and sued her for everything she had because she cancelled his accound and deleted his characters as a break up revenge.   While not as bad as murder it's still pretty shocking.

After saying goodbye to sanity, you throw it off the edge and watch it tumble into the fierce furnace below... The Volcano rumbles, and then the Volcano God himself suddenly manifests in front of you. In response to your offering he curses you with a sarcastic god queue pass.
