Mate that wasn't rambling at all, that was precisely what was needed to allay any concerns I might have about such an event. It's the kind of thing that's worth including in your event literature so people don't get the wrong idea, just a simple statement saying what kind of game it is and also what it isn't.
Like Ed I've been burned by 'Wankers who turn up to LRP games dressed as Nazi's' once, so twice shy and all that.
A voice was heard to say, “Who dares disturb the crypt of the Immortal Space Bitches?”
“I am Grimm Shado,” said Grimm Shado, triple wand claws extending. “And I am here to take it to the limit.”

Laird Benjy (4/23/2007) This has been a bit rambling and I apologise for that.
Not at all, as Mark says that's a very passionate and revealing statement and exactly the sort of thing I would want to read if I was considering coming to the game. It was the total lack of any sentiment like this anywhere in your original material that made me nervous about the game. If you have an audience for the game already then well and good, but if you're looking for players I'd advise putting everything you've just said, word for word, into or over your event literature. Sure, some will find it obvious or patronising, better that than the silly shitfest on here about "OMG NAZI LRP"
If you have any specific questions, please ask. I will try to answer them as completely as possible.
Not any more, it sounds a fantastic and very worthwhile game, good luck with it.
History is an important source for LRP. Along with other works of fiction.

Just wanted to point out that this...
Nath (4/22/2007) The german larpers at Knudepunkt this year did mention they wanted to run nazi larp (including from what i gathered concentration camp larp) but were unable to in their own country. The Israeli larpers present said they would be interested to playing such, and pointed out jews have alreadytaken part in concentration camp reenactments in Poland (IIRC). International aid groups present gave a lecture and ran some demo games on how they use larp to educate young people about the blight of refugees, included being in essential prison camps.
... is possibly the most wonderful idea I've seen the "theoretical" LRP fraternity come up with to date. Most things that come out of Knudepunkt elicit a "oh, just fuck off" response from me, but this is excellent stuff.
PD - Brother Farael of the Ordo Dictum Dominus
EOS - Some Raggard Scum, previously Some Arimin Scum
6P - System creator (now retired), Andrei Treune of Clan Suner (for the moment)
RL - Will Robinson

| *checks notes* Guest speakers were from the Red Cross (ran a refugee larp), Uro/Raftohueset (ran a prisoner larp) and DamMun (ran a UN diplomat LARP). I'm afraid the handouts don't have exact contact details, but I guess you can find them online. I can dig up a few names of people inside the organisations if that helps. (You really should come to Knudepunkt next year Marios)

| Thanks for the sudden rush of positivity. Rest assured that a passionate and balanced statement bout game style and content will now make up the new front page of the literature as well as the website (once Josh has it working). And if any of you want to play, please do. You may just enjoy it.

| Hi Gunman. Cool. So is the POW game non-airsoft, or are Harmer allowing airsoft games now? The Normandy game.... Nice. Any Brits allowed or is it all bloody Yanks (sorry: 'our fraternal brothers in arms') storming the Bocage? H
Is there any tea on this spaceship?

| Hiya Aitch The POW game will be Airsoft. So all good there. Harmer Green are OK with Airsoft apparntly, well they have been when we have been there before. The Normandy game, isn't part of the LRP campaign. Although there will be elements of it involved. It is a battle weekend, that we hope is a good indicator as to the chance for doing similiar things in future. And yes the Brits are allowed. (And they may not have to storm the beach) Hope that helps
