| Thought I'd mention this site I stumbled across: www.cornish-tipi-holidays.co.uk/ Thought it might add some nice atmosphere to an event. I spoke to one of the owners and explained the hobbey who said she'd have no problem with a bunch of guys with swords acting like maniacs. Looks great, not been there and think it would be a great site. I think it would be more suited to fest style than linear though, although it seems you could just book out part of the site. Matty J

Looks a bit expensive... at several hundred quid per tipi per week (can't you buy one for not much more than that?!?) you'd probably be talking £1000+ just for a 20-person event for a weekend, on site cost alone.

The problem with tipis is not the cost of buying one but th difficulties in transporting it. the poles are a minumum of 14 feet long, even when broken down it's a logistical pain in the butt. I know this from experiance my tipi is only a little 10 feet one but getting it anywhere is proving impossible.
