I is playing a breton mage/thief with the atronach birthsign. Great fun standing there while mages throw spells at you, just to replenish your mana.

Anyone else playing an atronach? I ask because all over the place (faqs etc) it is asserted that you can get your mana back thru resting, but it never seems to work for me.

This is a fantastic game, so much to discover and do, and it looks wonderfull... not much water life unfortunatly... and some of the scenery could do with beng a bit more destroyable... but im only picking out little things to be honnest!

Yes with a Atronach Star Sign you wont gain manna at all unless you use potions/get hit by spells.

Playing an Assassin at the moment, its just great fun!!

Bugger! Fortunately I have just discovered the joy of ghost summoning, then hitting it until it goes hostile, and letting it replen my mana for me

The other trick you could do in morrowind was to pray at a shrine. When the shrine cast it's blessing on you the atronach abosrobed it for hidious amounts of mana. Haven't tested it in Obvlivion though as I thought I'd finally stop playing mages and assasins. Currently playing a nord with a big axe

I like it, but it hasn't grabbed me the same way the previous game did. I think it's the level dependant monsters. Kinda takes the fun away from leveling when the monsters get extra HP as fast as you get to do more damage. I'm a fair way into the game now, and it takes just as long to beat a goblin to death now as it did when I started.

There are a few mods out there that remove the levelling aspect of the NPC's and monsters in the game, and sets them static, I would recommend you try one of those.

Best source of Mods I have found, (apart from Bitcomet for the official mods that you are meant to pay for)

http://www.tessource.net/files/cache/index.html

Have a look thru the game effects section, and you should find what you're looking for, I can't advise a specific mod, cos I'm not using one myself.

Well, I got it. I installed it. It runs beautifully on my machine. Its very pretty.

However, it is uber clunky. There just aren't enough quick slots for all the things you may want to do. Combat is just awful, and the game is boring. I mean really boring. Dull beyond all belief.

Thank god for Warcraft
