So what were your best and worst presents from xmas? and why?

I think my best present was a little mechano set from my mum - purely because it was totally unexpected and entertained for rather longer than it should've...

Worst present was probably "celebrities - my arse!" by ricky tomlinson. ugh.

Best present; a nice shiny new pair of LARP boots, that actually fit and have decent soles, with grip

Worst present; Whiskey filled liquer chocolates, I HATE whiskey

Maelstrom - Thomas Blunt, Archon of the Apple Cartel (Until I can con someone else into doing it )

Best were a wood turning lathe, a 24" horn (boromir stylee but without all the nancy filigree) and a glow in the dark, bendy keyboard that I am typing on this very moment.

Amazingly I didn't get anything that I either didn't like or can't make good use of, must be a record!

None of it was too rubbish this year, but then I didn't really get a lot else....

Fucking hell. How good were you last year??!

Purely in the interests of science, I had a good flick through my "celebrities, my arse!" book. Written by Ricky Tomlinson, it has an intro by Jim Royle (ie his character in "the royle family) this is a level of narcissistic naffness I don't know where to begin. It is full of amusing anecdotes about "celebrities"* with oh-so-witty comments by the author interspersed.

I rapidly came to the conclusion that either a)It's ghostwritten or b)Ricky Tomlinson is a cunt. who can't write.

*I use the term loosely. there is an entire chapter on big brother.

One of these....

http://www.interactivetoy.com/micro_mosquito.htm

I cannot describe how utterly cool they are.

Sadly the first batch have teething problems... the Li-po battery died and it had to be returned.

It gets replaced though.

So Best pressie and simultaneously worst because its gone away.

I got a proper, professionally done and framed photographic portrait of our dog, Eddie. Its cool. Especially as the totally white backdrop works really well with his totally white fur and brown face.

I also got lots of DVDs and some port.

Nothing really naff this year. I did get some socks but, unlike previous years, I actually did want socks this year... most of my old ones have holes in them now...
