I used to play on Burning Skull amongst other places, back when I had time to play. Now I mainly just pay my subs and hope for a few spare hours sometime this year...

I played in beta... wasn't worth playing for. It claimed so much but actually ended up rehashing the annoyances of old MMORPGS.

Not one MMORPG works on a consequence system with cause and effect and all that jazz. I want to see the ripples go out and I want character death to be important. The mission system in WOW is just a weak guise for grinding. I think their emphasis on leveling is misplaced and they should concentrate on things like players controling the maintaining of assets such as village buildings, guarding food/resource deliveries, murder investigations etc. We have games like Oblivion flying the flag of intelligent environments yet not one online game has bothered introducing such concepts.

WOW is one very big let down. I think its about time that MMORPG creators decided whether they are creating a game to please people who like killing each other or creating a game that you can roleplay in. Calling WOW and the others, "MMORPG"s, is incorrect as the only roleplay element is usually down to a few measily guilds and then the roleplay doesn;t effect what actually happens in game as Bill the fighter will still go off of and complete the preset missions to up his levels so he can go help his guild with random and pointless PVP. RP in current MMORPG's is pointless.

I play on the ravenholm server, with a night elf warrior (currently lvl 47) called ispnilrem (yes i know i nabbed that off ash, so sue me), a draenei mage (lvl 23) callled malafide and a human priest (lvl 15) called dougal.   All are members of the guild "the valiant" and cenobite.......if its you that keeps ganking in STV on that server, just you wait till i hit lvl 70 with isp!

Duskleaf, 45 Priest, and Phanuel, 36 Paladin,<Limited Immunity>, Darkmoon Faire Horde side.

Darkmoon Faire's economy is screwed and the server's something like 20% hunters. Still, we have a fun little guild mostly based around Cambridge Treasure Trap players.

I was playing on DMF up to a couple of weeks ago: Thundercloud, level 70 Shaman, Blades of Emorus. Unfortunately, the end-game for WoW is even more painful than it was pre-expansion: Heroic level dungeons absolutely require a party set up of Main Tank/Main Healer/3 Ranged DPS+CC to have a decent chance of completion. So I cancelled rather than level up one of the required classes.

Well, that and the big falling out with the guild over inviting characters named Bunnystomper and Unundead on a so-called RP server

I play, when I have time, but that's sadly not very often.

Never really joined many guilds and things, just log on with my friends and do a few instances now and again.

Funniest thing that's ever happened to you on WOW? Mine would have to be the time I joined a group to help them through and instance and got asked to tank even though I was a fecking Priest! They got rather angry when I pointed out that only a retard would suggest using a Priest as a tank. ah well.

... That's special.

More people should play priests. I'm getting nearly the DPS of a mage, and I can drop out and heal too, and I'm nearly the equal of a rogue or warlock in PvP... I like priests.

Currently playing far far too many characters on the horde side of Thunderhorne. Unfortunately the expansion has seriously killed off my interest, to the point where I shall probably be jumping ship to lord of the rings online.

Apparently it's very similar to WoW which isn't a great thing imho, but the lore is very well researched, and it was specifically designed *not* to appeal to image obsessed 12 year olds, so hopefully it'll be worth a hoot.
