I believe shifting out gets you out of roots.
And a druid is a better tank if polymorphs involved...

| Thunderhorne server: lvl 60 rogue, lvl 60 hunter, lvl 60 Warlock and too many alts in the 25-35 range. (addiction? what's that?) Scary moment for anyone who plays Maelstrom, last night I was in Arathi basin and ran into a human priest called Jens... Nearly killed him, but his warlock mates had soul stoned him, so he popped back up again and finished me off.

A handful of characters on Moonglade (roleplay server, though it's a struggle to find the roleplaying...), mostly Alliance. Main character is a lvl 58 Arcanist-specced mage named Delnor. It's a good laugh, though a lot of people seem to take it terrifyingly seriously!
Bizarrely, we played for quite a while with half an eye on joining a Guild. We eventually found one we liked and they turned out to be UK LRPers - Justin who has posted above in fact. Quite a coincidence!

| My main is 60 on a pvp server but I have a lowbie char on a RP server (steamwheedle), and have to say the horde guild Im in RP a lot. Dare I even say its freaked me out a couple of times and I found it a bit bizarre at first with all the RP. It can be a laugh though... My mates hunter whose Raptor "Biggles" is always on aggressive brings about many humour RP encounters...

WoW tried it... found it as dull as dishwater... too many 'Defeat 10 Xs' or 'Get 10 Y's from defeating X's' (of course Y's only have a 5% drop chance from X's) type quests... I also think it suffers from being to easy to solo at low levels... by the time you really have to team up, you find that the teams are full of Tanks who don't know how to, Healers who can't, Nukers who think AoE is great fun, and Rogues who don't understand how aggro works, and end up running away lots while the (rubbish) Tanks try and get aggro back. Then calling everyone 'N00b Faggots' for letting them die.
I mean, you always get morons playing these games, but usually you get thrown in at the deep end, and have to team up right from the beginning. Soloing is useless for learning how the game works, and people who solo lots tend to gimp themselves for team play... like Warriors who forgo aggro building skills for damage skills...
Costume hippy, live and let live, peace and love for all, man!

| I play WOW on a RPG server and whilst i wouldnt say its a very satisfying roleplay experience the game itself is fun. Ok theres a lot of kill X or collect Y type quests but having played Everquest, Everquest 2 and other online games i would say its much the same. I like the craft system and simplicity of the interface as well as the general gameplay too. Maybe its not deep but it certainly is fun which is exactly what i want. Sadly have to agree with the above poster about annoying people (often but not exclusivley kids) on servers but the ignore button works wonders Kalimar: 36 Warrior among other things Steamweedle Cartel Server
