So, when i'm not busy tinkering with the inner workings of Rule7, or putting food on the table at home, World of Warcraft would be by far my game of choice and has been since its US Release, nevermind the EU release.

So, among the new Rule7 readership, do we have any WoW players?
What race? class? server? guild?

How's everyone finding it right now? There are alot of guilds collapsing as they reach their abillity limit in the end-game content, patch 1.11 is coming and of course there's the burning crusade for Q4 this year! So much tot talk about!

I play WoW... main character is a Human Paladin on Earthen Ring. I was in a Guild but left it when I discovered that the guild head was a twat.

There are a bunch of lrpers on the EU Argent Dawn server on Horde side masquerading as the Cult of the Sandcrab Guild.

Personally I have about 50 characters but only 3 above level 15 ;-)

Dreadai, Troll Priest level 60, pwning endgame

Nargle, Troll Mage level 60, mooncloth and farming factory

Guruk, Orc Warrior level 55, For when I fancy some down and dirty.

One of these days I'll actually play an alliance above level 5

I am really looking forward to 1.11 almost as much as to the expansion, being in a raid that has cleared to Twin Emps in AQ and is trying C'thun for the first time this weekend means that Naxxramas is going to be poked pretty early

Burning Crusade ... I am in two minds about this, the formation of our guild means we have fewer people on regularly so I think that Blizzards push towards higher end content for 10x level 70's will bite smaller guilds.

We've been experiencing two-tier content in EverQuest for a while now and, to a certain extent, I think it's improved the game as there is less competition for raid targets. The 24/7 raiding guilds get to take on the bleeding-edge endgame, while the smaller guilds get relatively uninterrupted access to their high-end content. That being said, it does mean that there is a massive disparity in equipment and (to a certain extent) spells between characters of similar levels.

There have been many discussions about this two-tier content in various fora but, on the whole, it seems to work in terms of keeping people subscribed.

Q: What would Yens do?

A bunch of lrpers (in fact, almost all the guild) play the Serendipity Guild on Moonglade, alliance side. If you wnated to come join the characters most often on are Softly, Winsome, Rhalla, Te, Peri, Flicka (off the top of my head).

The guild tops out at 40th and we are in no rush  -we all play lods of alts, we are juts there to have a mild bit of fun and explore the game, doing whatever takes our fancy  - we tend to do a lot of grouping, though.

No active recruitment, but any larper who wanted to come 'hang out' would be welcome. We do not roleplay much, though (a little only), as most of us find WoW a poor substitute rping wise for larp.

Myself & Jeager play druids on Grim Batol (Nearly wrote Burning Blade RIP) and run our own guild, Eternal Flame.

Both level 60, both feral, Bramble & Shadowmaw.

Anyone want to start the rogue leather vs druid leather (Yes, I will roll need on SC dammit, feel free to roll need on WH...) or who makes a better tank, warriors or druids? (Seeing as Shadowmaw has over 10k armour, and has taken Onyxia off a warrior after 5 sunders with no taunts... By accident...)

Tho' I do think we had the best group for Scholo yesterday:

Priest - Shackling & healing
Druid (me) - DPS/Off-healing/Off-tank
Druid (Jeager) - Main-tank/Off-healing in AoE areas
Mage - AoE/Sheep
Warrior - DPS/Off-tank

This gave us 3 tanks for Butcher, Barov & other hard hitters, and 3 healers for the AoE-ing and in case people got 'ported on final boss...

Was a guild run, so no complaints over druid tanks...

Hard hitters?  Clearly you and I have different concepts of that ;-)

As to druid tanks, they rely on mitigation from AC whereas tanks can get by on lower AC by having high defence which removes the threat of crits.  In end game, it is damage spikes which kill tanks, and this is something that no amount of armour can prevent.

I've healed both druid and warrior tanks in end game more than I care to count, and believe me, a warrior > a druid any day (shield ftw)

As for feral, keep it, after 1.11 you can innervate priests anyway

ps sunders are for noob tanks ;-) heroic strike / revenge spam ftw (see warior forums for details on why and long long maths threads)
