Does anyone else have a problem with the Remember Me? tick box? It appears to work right up to the point where I close down my browser session. Then I have to log in to Rule7 again the next time I come here. I don't think it's a cookie problem as I am a member of lots of forums, many of which are (I think) built on the same software as this, but this is the only one that forgets me between sessions.
I'm running Firefox 2.0 on Win2K, although I've had this problem on earlier FF versions as well.
Regards
T.

Same here. I would probably make approximately twice as many posts if when I tried to I didn't get the message:
The following error occurred...

Return to previous page...
... and decide I can't really be arsed.
Of course this may be seen as a good thing....

Unfortunately for all involved, I ride the pain and log in everytime so I can post...
Bet yes, I too have problems with the "remember me" box.

Same here, on both machines. I`ve already gotten into the habit of manually logging in just in case.

We've covered several times the possible reasons many and varied why this feature doesnt work as expected. I've made "some" adjustments to the way it's setup now which should show a marked improvement, we'll see.

Have just tested this feature in : Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari, and Mozilla. The remember me feature indeed remembers you if you close your browser and come back to Rule7 forums.
The fix i've put in "may" cause memory issues with the server however, i'll be monitoring the situation. There is an emergency clause in where the server will reset the processes for Rule7 if a certain memory "Ceiling" is reached. It used to do this every morning at 05:30 am, to ensure maximum performance from morning till night, this did however mean that you could not stay "remembered" over night, it will now ONLY do it, if the machine is basically out of memory, if this occurs at all frequently, I will be putting the fix back in.
Best Regards
Rule7 James

Any feedback on how this is working for users?
Lots of complaints that it wasnt working, now i've no idea if it's working for everyone.
I personally have been logged in for 3 days straight almost.
