It's another ace vid.

I liked this one even better, though, from the comments in that one:

Otherwise usually crew ("Quite spry & fit, & willing to wear a big costume & run around a lot" -- various event organisers)

I had to have a chuckle myself, i mean they try and all, but meh .

Just guess you can't beat some UK larp systems, you'll never get me wandering around with those kinds of boffer weapons though.

Although i can't really complain because i wear knittmail (the mail which looks real but is made of thick wool, used in films etc) and Plastic armour from norton armories, but thats just my larp kit reenactment, totally different kettle of fish.

I found both kind of hilarious, the first in a "they try, but its a shame" and the second because its just a great piss take I've seen it a few times before though!

String-mail looks real? I suggest you vist an optician immediately.

I may be at the same event as you, but that does not mean I am playing the same game.

It does, however, look more real than the latex stuff used in the recent BBC idiocy "Robin Hood", particularly the one where the henchman had a) got it on INSIDE OUT and b) Not fastened it, so his chainmail FLAPPED IN THE BREEZE.

String mail can look quite good if done well (May I draw your attention to Monty Python and the Holy Grail?)

It's still at least as rubbish as giant foam shields for LRP, though.

Although, what am I saying? My usual LRP footwear looks like desert boots but is actually high-performance Merrell trainers....
