"Stalin"... that's a good name for a cat. Or maybe Winky, Tiddles or Cretin?

No... even better: Wang!

Call it what you like it'll ignore you anyway- unless it wants something.
Our kitten is called Pixie Paws McYingles (Paws for short)-no-one asked me- I call it Cat or "OIGERROUROFIT".

Being a bit of a girlie i'd say Munchkin, or to keep with the Norse theme - Kendra.

All the Viking suggestions so far are pussy ideas (no pun intended). Try Níðstöng, Yngvarsdóttir or at least Kveld-Úlfr. If your friends can pronounce it right, you haven't tried hard enough!

Call the cat "Sodomy"... without context the neighbours will think you very strange. Plus its much, much easier to swear at the thing.

Okay, I confess that I'm not taking this subject entirely seriously.
