| Hey guys, my name is Mario, though some of you may know me as James. I've previously played alongside some of you in Maelstrom (Kamakura), Omega (Rogerston), and possibly other events, and I've even been honoured enough to play Riftworld before as a character by the name of Winter (warphound prisoner no 66613). Haven't played Riftworld for a while, but I am definately coming back with a squad of 3-10 guys all playing (obviously militant) North? Xadacians (I'm not replaying Winter because I want to fit into the new group). We are not able to make it until the new year, as I've got a lot of kit to buy with all the guns, swords, body armour and misc. kit we need, but I look forward to playing. We are already talking about roles, organisation, uniform, drill and point expenditure (we have a typical sergeant, grunts, field medic, artillery, spotter, engineer, sneaky-git etc), and it has become a regular conversational piece down the pub. Thought I'd just come on here and introduce myself to those I don't know, and say that I can't wait to see/kill the likes of Chris and Niall again (as well as some of the other rogues amongst you who I'll probably recognise on sight). I'm sure we'll all look forward to it. Lyria for one *definitely* needs to chat with surviving Xadacians, if she gets through the next event.

| Vince you rogue, didn't realise there were others from the Wu going to Riftworld. Of course we can organise something in the way of sharing lifts. Are there still meetings at the vaults? I'll come along one Monday to see some of the guys. Looking forward to Riftworld more and more now. James P.S. Nice to see someone using the latin name for Worcester, thought I was the only one that did that.

Ah, just the people to ask. What is the order of the various ranks? I need to know the ones before Commander. Of course, this being a LRP system we may not stick to them rigidly, but it'd be handy to know, especially for anyone playing a Xadacian.
We're really looking forward to you guys joining us next time. Southers or Northernerns, decided yet between cyber and native? It's a shame you missed the BFG's. Ah well, only about four months to go:just need to find a site, fix a date, write the plot, make the kit...we have plenty of food for thought.

Are real world-style ranks appropriate, 'cos I can list out your basic officer types from 2nd Leiutenant to Field Marshal if you want.
Otherwise, I'd be interested in knowing the IC Xadacian Rank structure myself.

Set out the real world ranks as a guideline and then allow for a bit of flexibility for roleplay's sake. I'm trying to define the Skirmishers ranking structure, but that would naturally differ from the Xadacian structure anyway as West and East tend to be quite different. Probably had the same root long ago but hundreds if not thousands of years can alter things, somewhat.
