I'm playing a new character soon and I need to come up with some distinguishing physical characteristic so I thought having a badly burned hand/forearm would be a good solution. However, I'm no whizz with makeup so I was wondeirng if anyone had any tips as to how I can accomplish this?
Thanks!

I'd suggest white cream makeup with a touch of pink would be your best bet - most burns I've seen tend to go pale with the dead layers of skin. A really smooth, well defined area with more pink to the edges perhaps?
Otherwise, for blistering and the like I guess you'll need a prosthetic.
For old burns and peeling skin, just a thin layer of latex on the skin, let it dry, then pick at it until it tears and flakes. Rub a little white on it. Avoid reds or pinks, just make it look pale.

| If you're going to use latex or collodion on your arm, remember to lose the hair first as its rather painful when you try to remove it I've just been experimenting along those lines H.
