Me, in the Jake West's EVIL ALIENS thread in Books, TV and Films:
I misread this thread title completely on the front page.
Firstly, I thought it was in the basic ideas area.
Secondly, I thought it said "Jane Austen's ALIENS".
Which would be the best LRP idea EVER.
"Oh, Mr Darcy, what is that emerging from your manly chest?"
"Nay, mama, would it not be better to say 'get away from her thou bitch'?"
Someone do it. C'mon. You know you want to.

| So victorians go into space (either through 'rocket ships' or some kind of stargate) and while mining for gold they discover the Alien Eggs. The Extra-Terran Mining Company (God Save The Queen) see a great opportunity to make a weapon to fight the Prussian Empire and arrange for a massive tea-party right in the middle of a semi-terraformed planet in the hope of bringing back a bunch of people with aliens in their bodies. Yeah I'm game. If only to be on a canal-narrow boat hunting a Chest-burster with a Steampunk flamethrower. How about 'William Shakespeare's Texas Chainsaw Massacre' "Zounds, I have been sliced in twain, curse you, prince of faces leather."

I keep wanting someone to run a LRP of The Chaos Engine, how about giving the Brainfeast boys a kick?
But back on topic a Space 1889 adventure with chest bursters would be quite a lot of fun indeed, I now have this image of the first one busting out at a oh so polite tea party . Yes it's such a good idea it must be run!

Sounds absolutely wonderful. I might be able to track down some guys with some alien suit stuff. That's if they all still have the kit. Might of succumbed to latex rot over this past decade.

PLEASE somebody do this!
I must play it! I must!
I'll give you deposit now! Here take my money!
Classic alien invasion stuff but it just happens in the Regency, amongst a setting of romance and ettiquette. Magic!
