Now come on, be realistic. When have I ever been invited to important meetings?

Unless you leave the dog while you go off and play for awhile? Surely that can't be that much of a problem?

The whole point of taking them along is so you dont have to leave them alone! You can only leave them if there is somewhere to leave them safely. At the 30s event we took the dog too we had our own bedroom, so he was shut in there a few times, mainly because he looked tired and in need of sleep.

I am a terrible NIMBY when it comes to kids/dogs at LRP. Personnally I have absolutely no problem with them at all; until they get in my way!

They wont necessarily get in your way...

I did say "Leave your dog alone" I said "leave you dog". ie you could leave it with someone else while you dissapeared for a few hours. (but still be nearby should you need to get back quickly)
Which is surely better than havign to leave it at home while you are 100's of miles away at an event.

(hmnmm, i wonder if there is money to be made "dog sitting" at events?)

And I said "if" they get in my way. It's like people have said, it's down the to event/circumstances. I have no problem roleplaying with kids/dogs, but i would have a problem fighting around them.

If you can't beat your computer at chess, try kickboxing.
