For us not at maelstrom this weekend, what are you up to?

Myself, not much seeing as though I'm pretty skint and bored (Sigh...)

Are other folks in the same boat as me then?.....

There is no way you can disprove to me that all reality we percieve, was concieved in the mind of a plastic troll. Now hand me my pills.

Hmmm.. lets see...

Friday night - watched more old series Battlestar Galctica and drank wine

Staurday

- went shopping (bought an A level chemistry revision guide for tutoring) and acquired some holiday brochures.

 - Went to hairdressers to get hair cut

 - Went to gym for a swim. Well, Sarah went for a swim, I lazed in the sauna.

 - Spent afternoon walking dog and lazing about the house while Sarah made a start on Artificer costume

 - Went to Bristol Pair to DJ the uni goth night and drank more wine and played cheesy choons

Today we have shopping (for food this time), dog walking and lunch at a pub with some friends. More costume making may get done.

Fairly typical weekend when we aren't at an event.

I was expecting to find myself seriously pining the fact that I'm not at 'Strom, but I've been too busy this weekend to get really whingey ('Hurrah!' says the Other Half who's been at the event).
On saturday I took the free bus to Ikea with a few swedish friends, and spent rather a lot of money on shelving units, then lugged them home on the subway, which was an excitement in itself, and came home to (1) shower.. it was 28 degrees yesterday, which is just stupidly hot for New York and (2) experience the 'child-with-new-meccano' joy of putting them all together. Going to Ikea with Swedish friends is fun. They translate what the strange sounding words mean, and get excitable in the food section. 'Ohh, princess cake!'...

Now it's Sunday at 10.30 am. I'm about to go to the gym with a couple of friends, then spend the day with them in Jackson Heights, ('Little India') eating Chaat and hearing all about their wedding.

Do I wish I was in a big frock and speaking 'Liike theees'? Sure!
Am I actually having fun not being there? amazingly, I am.

Though that doesn't mean all my friends won't be grilled for details of what happened in about five hours, though ... I'm longing to know what happened to Mill-en...

This weekend I shall be mainly: Decorating my new flat, WOO!

Ok, not that exciting, but getting out of my parents place and moving in with a sexy lady totally outweighs the boredom of decorating. Though filling in holes in the wall with polyfiller for 20minutes then stepping back and realising you've made an almost perfect circle because the previous occupants must of had a Dart-Board was kinda amusing.

Tart- we moved into a house once where we found 17 layers of wallpaper in every room, the previous occupants had been there since 1952 and continually papered over, we had to replaster the whole house!!
This weekend I shall be visiting Hanley-I'm still trying to figure out why.

Don't forget Tart, you'll also have the monumental presence that is the one and only Matteoke in the pub in about 5 minutes.  What a wonderful way to start the weekend....you truely are a lucky man.....who needs a woman when you have me!!!

N I C E... do you not think that after awhile they might have realised that all the rooms were getting smaller and smaller?

Still, i hope it was tastful wallpaper? Ours had that nasty 70's woodchip stuff throughout painted bright blue (hall), bright purple (spare bedroom) and bananna yellow (bathroom/kitchen). We thought this was bad enough until we realised the yellow was covering up bright orange paint...
What kind of sick freak paints their flat orange? It must've been like living in a Tango bottle.

and Kessboy: I'm saying nothing, on the grounds that I might incriminate myself, my girlfriend, and various high ranking officials in the government.
