The Serenity LARP looks good on the internet... have they played their first event yet?

Ahh, I see.  From my, admittedly limited, understanding the rules are based on Stargate and haven't been tested with Serenity yet.  Is that correct?

I'd quite like to play it because I was introduced to Firefly by a friend in Australia and it's much better than the rather lame "cowboys in space" premise that I was given.  It's actually... good...

Would I have to know any Chinese or have to do a bad American accent?

Isn't there a Hollywood Cockney in the show somewhere? As fo knowing chinese, I imaging the organisers will have some form of glossary of the main bits used on screen for reference. They seem to have pretty comprehensively thought this out. For that matter, so long as it sounds right and you have the cadence, expression and timing, you ought to get away with quoting a takeaway menu at someone.

Goram it!  I believe you're correct, there is that fella in the hat.  I look forward to a review, or is it going to be one of these oversubscribed event things where if you didn't book for the first one and aren't sleeping with one of the organisers that you never get a chance to play?

Well there's always the crew option. I don't know if they have a full crew, but ask and I'm sure they'll tell ya.

他媽的!・他妈的!

Serenity and Firefly are great! I would love to LRP Serenity but time constraints mean I can't. I'll have to settle for the TT RPG in a few weeks when my gaming group changes campaign.
