Cheesy

Thanks for that. Don't worry, we gnuinely do appreciate the feedback. Positive or negative it still helps make the game better in the end. As we;ve launched the site and rules and started taking bookings already (very happy with the response so far), we're going to stick with the rules we've published but as its the first event its almost a play-test anyway

On your points though

Scavengers have the ability to fix pretty much anything or make pretty much anything. I was thinking more in the A-team "We need something to break down this door" and the Scavnger thinks "Well, i have a chair and an ashtray and a pair of tights. Admittedly some of these will require a ref again but we're lokoing at having 2 floating refs and 4 other NPCs who can ref too, so hopefully we mightbe okay on that score. But will re-think after the game

Undead. Evenif butchered they can come back, if nothing else than to tell everyone who killed their physical body. Better than the Bravo's on that score

Performance and Art - are really just to add to the flavour of he game, but also that some rituals will require the performance of music, or "the painting of your enemy" where in the artits and performers get their chance to shine (or name their price)

We were thinking of maybe having a hand gesture that shows when you're doing an OOC call butif your hands are full then your targets bound to appeal on the grounds that "You didn't do the hand gesture"

Command - Agreed it has the potential to be abused. Think this is one that we're going to keepa  close eye on. The Prestons are meant to be a very honourable Household, so people who start to take the piss wil be told off fr bad roleplaying

Charmed - Probably could do with a call. Agreed

Invisible friend - Loosey translates as pick anther 3 skills. Melee won't do you any good as it means your invisible firend is good in fight (if he existed). More flavour than anything

Pockets - Will give you something similar if theres something similar there. Just stops people going "I'm sure I've got the largets diamond in the world in here somewhere". Gonna be a playtester i reckon

Soulcopy - Agreed. Like your suggestion better than mine

Curses - We were also looking at putting a sentence or two on the web-site or an attendees list (any giving a list out at the start of the game) also naming who's smelly or disliked. Characters with Ettiquette may know why they're despised

Jinx - People with it will be given a pack of "Broken" stickers

Lifeleech - Yeah damage would do it.

We have the benefit with the combat in that most of it will take place in the arena. The Market Truce means that no-one really would dare attack someone else there, and the arean is over-seen by Mazda, who's an NPC and ref who can moderate all scraps. Again though there are areas for abuse.

I think that to an extent we're aiming at a more "responsible" clientele as well. Its not really a game about getting the most points, and the best weapons and the best skills, so I'm hoping on people roleplaying much more than being a munchkin (.....he says touching wood)

Damage calls - Good point. Its Stun, Single, or Double like you say.

Artefacts - Theres a little section in there aout learning more traits. Study in downtime to learn 1 trait, or dismantle and destroy to learn all. Plus some books will have designs in them, or other people can teach

Contact Venom - Was really intented as having some red paint o the tip of your thumb so when you shake hands it comes off, rather than people smearing their hands with paint and blatting. but fair point, there maybe people who would take that approach

Hopefully, thats cleared up some of them, but would agree that there are someminor tweaks that need doing. Will wait and see how the system holds up in play and then re-draft after the first event

Just pleased that you made it to the end this time

Seriously though, cheers for the feedback

Now I just wish you were running it somewhere that wasn't three hours drive away from me so that I could actually come and play, the setting sounds excellent and I am jealous of all the people who will get to play with it .

Sorry

It did occur to us that we don't necessarily have to run them in Brighton itself. Its just easier to it that way.

Depending upon how this game goes, we could look at other places not so far South

We can probably arrange some crash space for people that need it. And Brighton has plenty of cheap hotels

Thought you were going to do on in Cambridge anyway?

Whilst I'd like to run Cambridge Below, that would require larger quantities of energy than I've currently got, some more people in the area that are interested in the idea to the point of helping me run it (most people seem to be satisfied with CUTT) and some time in which to run it (as CUTT are currently expanding to fill all available term-time weekends, and I'm playing tabletop RPGs half of my weeknights and have a couple I want to run which are currently a more realistic prospect).
