That's a good list Flannel, maybe we could get a mod to sticky this thread as a "What not to do if you don't want people to giggle at you" list.
Also:
Put the craft knife down before scratching that itch at the back of your neck, or rubbing your eye, or picking your nose.*Nods* good plan.... Your example also reminds me of the other important workshop tip... Always take the Teaspoon OUT of your coffee/tea/hot chocolate before you drink it... damn near blinded meself several times....

Actually, I usually leave the spoon in. Its an important safety tip as I take sweeteners in my tea and there are those who are allergic to them (or who just can't stand the taste...). So the spoon acts as a label to say 'this one has the sweeteners in it'. If you are clever, you can avoid the eye poking side effects. Eventually humanity will evolve in such a way as to have some form of 'spoon avoidance' system inbuilt

I’d go to A&E – They’ll get it off for you. Okay – first they’ll leave you waiting for a few hours.. then they’ll snigger at you… Then they’ll get it off… But at least you’ll be able to play the piano again.pah....A&E.... actually its not too bad - most of it came off after a couple of days and a couple of hot showers. Most of it could be picked off, without removing very much skin Hardest part was on my fingernails which had to be gouged out but not toooo bad Reading the instructions on things takes half the fun away - you'll be telling me to accurately weigh amounts before I mix them next...

| Whilst I'm about it - some lessons learned Silicon makes fantastic moulds for PU foam - and its great to use to make prosthetics on site as PU foam cures in about 20 minutes. PU based moulds are a rubbish idea even with a release agent (unless you have very nice spray on release agents which might be ok) - at least for PU foam. They're great for casting silicon. Cost me one mould. Don't poke the foam before its cured. No really. If you're as impatient as me just go somewhere else for 20 minutes and leave it alone. Plastic spoons are better than metal ones for stirring - had a hard time getting the stuff off a metal spoon. Silicon is pretty good for sticking hard surfaces to people but spirit gum is better for latex You'll get about 60 demon horns out of about 1.2kg of 2 part expanding foam. Depending on how big they are. Wait for the foam to start expanding a little before pouring into the mould - seemed to cure better (probably just meant it was stirred better) and was easier to estimate how much to use (ie I had less wastage when I started doing that)
