Well, it was a few miles away from where we were honeymooning, OK? We sort of felt it was our duty to go look...
It's a small family-run business with only 15 employees (max!) for a start (not including the 15 or so pickers in season...) and they can only fill 4 bottles of liquid at a time! And cork wine one bottle at a time...
They make a much wider selection than just mead - the ginger wine is nice, as is the wild garlic sauce... They pick their own garlic leaves for it... And collect the sap for the silver birch wine... The sloe liqueur is lovely - tho' Jeager wasn't so keen...
We got a good look round the winery, inc. seeing unlabled bottles of mead, which was weird, and then a free tasting where they put out a bottle/jar of everything they made and basically let everyone at it! So we got to try some of everything...
Oh, and we have some mail order forms... If you buy 12 bottles at once it works out as £6/bottle inc. free postage/packing... A bit more if that includes plum brandy or the sloe liqueur... We're thinking about putting an order in ourselves, so if you're interested in what else they make then let us know?
We had Moniack mead for our wedding toast too... *coughs*

We used to buy from them all the time when we ran Omega LRP and they were really good to do business with.
PD Head Ref- but as all posts here count as being unofficial, you'll need to email rules@PD for the real deal. The PD Odyssey Campaign - the longest development period of any fest LRP system known - coming to you sometime in the next five years...

The thing we couldn't believe was only 15 people!
And a gorgeous location... The Frasers live there as it's their home... Mrs. Fraser started making wine as a hobby and branched out into other things and it became a business as her stuff was so popular... Their stuff is all 100% un-farmed & gathered I think, and the wines are just sap/berry/whatever, water, sugar & yeast... The liqueurs have ready-made brandy/gin/etc added at the end tho'...
And the only mechanical thngs they use are the shrink-wrapper, and jar/bottle fillers, nothing when actually making the stuff... Even all those labels on the mead are applied by hand... They're paper, not adhesive-backed, so have to go through a small roller that applies glue and then they're hand-applied... And all the berries are gone over by hand, etc...

Could anyone post access to a scanned version of the form? Sounds like Rule 7 could keep them busy for quite a while.

No, they don't sell online (and have absolutely no plans to!)
If there's enough demand, me & Jeager can try & co-ordinate a mass order... We only have 3 forms!

Hokay, does anybody have a scanner?
Highland Wineries can be contacted on 01463 831 283 and fax'd on 01463 831 419 - I'm sure they wouldn't mind a form scanned in and available to print out by all those thirty larper out there.
EDIT: I've e-mailed a chap from the company - asked him to send me some order forms so I can stick a copy on the web for printing
