Bedlum, probably not.
Basically I would love to have Conan show up at an event of ours, & kick ass. However, there are 2 reasons he won't be at this one:
1) Phys rep. We need someone over 6' tall, broad-shouldered, & covered with lean, tigerish muscle. Such people are in short supply in the world of LRP! I can think of a couple of possible candidates, but both would need to do some serious working out to look right. I don't want to re-enact my first encounter with "Slaine Mac Roth" at a Gathering many years ago, when no-one believed the bloke was anything other than a podgy, mulleted biker with a bad accent. If Conan is gonna show up, people have to have NO doubt that it's Conan.
2) Shite LRP. Conan would be PERFECT for a standard HT game, where we could send him against one of the nastier player-character parties to give them their comeuppance at last. But giving the role to anyone in this upcoming game, which emphasises PVP and slightly more low-key player characters, would be gauche, flangey favouritism of the worst kind. Unfortunately. All the focus of the game would be on Conan. That's no fun for the players.
