| Hi folks, Oli and I met up and went through a whole bunch of stuff yesterday and approved system 1.11 at long last. I'm having some trouble uploading it to the website currently, but it should be up there tonight. I've attached it to this post for you to look at. By the end of the month, everyone who played event two can expect to receive an email with their characters as they stand under the new system, detailing how many unspent XP you now have and what equipment you checked out of the last event. Forgot to mention - if you play someone with any additional rules (e.g. Faith, Magic, Pharmacy and Craft) then these rules have also been updated and we'll send them out on request. We're currently working on updating the setting material to give more info on various bits and bobs and include some of your victories...

Two changes:
1. The contents page should include "Downtime" listed on page 30;
2. The entry for the Paper Mill should read as follows: allows the conversion of one unit of Cloth and one unit of Hides into ten reams of paper, taking one downtime turn to do so.

| Yes. Those people who've received emails with their skills/gear on already have the reduced prices included in the figure for the number of XP unspent I've given them. If I've made a mistake I'm happy to hear about it! Almost all those emails have gone out now; if you haven't received yours yet, expect it soon. And only Intermediate and Advanced skills are cheaper. Basic ones stay the same price.

| Another change, in that Write Scroll should now read as follows: Write Scroll: Requires Advanced Read Scroll. By spending one downtime turn, the user may create a scroll containing any one Basic spell that they can cast (2 downtime turns for an Intermediate spell and 4 for an Advanced spell). It may be read by anyone with the Read Scroll ability and cast normally in that circumstance (and destroyed in the process). It may instead be used as a page in a spellbook if required – in which case, it may still be torn out and used as a regular scroll, depriving the owner of the spellbook access to that spell until they get another copy of the scroll. It takes one ream of paper and one unit of Animal Radicals to make two scrolls.

You can, but it's more expensive.
Insurrection Rules V1.11, P24 P
If you wish to learn a skill without a teacher, it will cost you twice as many XP as it ordinarily would to learn a Basic or Intermediate skill, or three times as many XP
for an Advanced skill. This is not possible during events, only during downtime.

If you end up with more XP, then you end up with more XP rather than automatically getting new skills, yeah. You spend them the way you spend any other XP once you enter play.
