According to the BBC, it's good for you!

'The heavy eye make-up favoured by ancient Egyptians such as Cleopatra may have had medical as well as aesthetic benefits, French research suggests.'

I'm not sure snazz will count mind.

Well the eye makeup also acts like sunglasses to protect the eyes by reducing glare - so I'm sure snazz will have some benefit!

Actually, while I am not sure about the makeup having medical benefits as far as conventional modern medicine is concerned, certain makeup patterns and substances were used as part of medical magic by the Egyptians. Beneficial medical substances could be mixed with the makeup, for example. Also, by wearing makeup drawn in the style of the Eye of Ra or Horus, the wearer would be bringing down their beneficial energies into their eyes. Very good for ocular illness prevention....apparently!

Initially, I was all up for playing Greece (due to a combination of enjoying their mythology and the chance to stab people with spears), but the reasons to play Egypt just keep stacking up:

1) It seems as though Egypt will get a lot of plot thrown at it (possibly via an insane, undead pharoah making inexplicable and probably fatal demands. Win).
2) Cultural Armour has been described to me as 'made up of leather straps'. Well, that sounds like a fun costume to make
3) Call of Cthulu meets Indiana Jones meets The Mummy? Only the addition of Abbott and Costello could make that more entertaining.

...and now you remind me that we all get to wear eyeliner as well? Bows may be about as appealing to me as syphilis, but we get plot, cool armour, the chance to go mad/die/escape from death traps *and* the option to look pretty in the arena?

Maelstrom: Blind Harvey, Rimici Capell Future Prospects

Serenity: Sparks, bitter divorcee and mechanic.

Insurrection: A series of short-lived trouble makers.

Odyssey: Ramses, Keeper of the Goats, The Khemenethorus

Odyssey team. Someone kind once said I was designing the game experience. Flattery will get him far.

As with all PD matters, such positions are best sought direct from PD through the usual official channels. Accept no substitutes!
