To 'fool' me you'd have to cover the whole of the outside shell really. You might find that a windbreak around the bottom goes some way; but you'd have to match it with a more appropriate apex - perhaps with descending banners/flags/coloured material overlaid to break up the large patches of grey nylon.
One trick would be to think about the one-time fad to disguise battleships - use different colours and materials to break up the lines and the large coloured expanses - hence changing the visualisation of the shape.
