Okay you talented people go for your life. I can't put something here, because I am useless at anything practical!

I'm able to take commissions- I can make pretty much anything out of Foam/Latex, and can also help you develop your Characters look-including detailed drawings if needed.
I was a professional prop maker for 10 years, making many large creatures for the LT and Laberynth as well as trading in weapons, I was also the foreman on the "Felix Legion" build for the movie Gladiator.
I now have a full time job that pays a proper wage- so I'm really looking for interesting pieces, where I can put more time than the customer can afford into the job.
If you need something a bit different or very realistic, then give me a shout, I've made everything from throwing safe Asparagus tips to full Dragon Suits.

Most of my kit I made myself, except for some thriftstore finds, my chainmaille shirt (bought cheaply and then modified to suit my tastes) and my bow and arrows. I've probably made over a hundred weapons by now, when also counting throwing daggers. Although I have worked on commission in the past, a full-time job is keeping me from doing so now.

The bits I'm most comfortable making are weapons, chainmaille bits, and costumes; I've also dabbled in making latex ear tips and noses, etching metal, some basic leatherworking, and joinery (a pair of market stalls which can break down to fit into the back of a three-door hatchback). Eventually I hope to play around with armoursmithing and casting metal, and whatever else draws my fancy.

Summary:
I have experience in many types of kit and prop making and a background in medium to heavy engineering. I have access to a good range of (low-price) antiques shops and have a long list of contact for varous resources, I am therefore also happy to help people source items for use in their own projects. I tend to do general work at a reasonable price and will do interesting commisions at cost (or near to it).

I have produced:
Personal kit for individuals, armour (leather/metal/other) & weapons
Event monster costumes
Set-Piece Dressings
Single Props for LRP and the Stage
Leather garments for LRP and the Stage
Leather goods for everyday use
Prosthetics (some experience for personal use)

Additional Rabbiting on.

Style/Practices:
If left to my own devices the majority of my work is in historical western style. I believe that an aim for the aesthetic should not impede the functionality of an item. I aim to produce items with 360 degree completeness, so that no matter how it is arranged or what it is used for the item remains as true to the character and setting as possible. Minimising the joins between the illusions.
Costume and props should complement a character and so I am keen to help people develop small details that enhance their characters and develop a more complete role-playing experience.

Method:
A lot of my work involves integrating several different mediums together in-order to produce a single finished article, frequently I use cast details to enhance larger works. With experience in a wide variety of different processes I have a large arsenal form which to tackle problems from different directions.

NB:
I am happy to advise on concepts or method and also to produce individual components for larger projects. I will also take sub’d-out work from other craftspeople it they require and extra pair of hands or expertise outside their fields, collaborative projects more than welcome.

Anyone interested in requesting my help on projects please do not hesitate to contact me. (If I haven’t put you off already)

For pretty much anything to do with sprayed coatings, from airbrushing up to and including automotive-quality paint and lacquers on hard surfaces, I can probably help.

Costumier...

I make clothes for the practical adventurer at reasonable prices.

I have experience of both playing and monstering and with that in mind all my kit is made with the rigorous nature of roleplay eventing in mind. (all my kit is also machine washable and comes with washing guidelines)

My speciality pieces are cloaks. But I also do Coats, Jerkins, Shirts, Trouser and Skirts. I can also do bespoke pieces on request.

My cloaks are made of tight weave fabrics for protection against most moderate weather (my personal cloak is now 6 years old and has stood up to many a thunderstorm with myself only getting moderately damp). All my cloaks come lined as standard (will do unlined versions on request) and I also specialise in placing hidden pockets and weapon loops into the linings for those discernable rogues and hero's who like to surprise.

If you are interested then please contact me via PM on this forum. (please put COSTUME) in the subject box.

I can supply photographs of my work on request.

I make bits and pieces, all for my own characters or friends.

I have made weapons, sheaths and weapon rigs, costume (with the help of my ever patient gf), small pieces of armour, mainly leather, various other props such as books, maps etc.

I've got alot of ideas, but not that much experience

Edit: Oh I was also a mod of the pagga methods section for a while just before it went away

Hobbyist Armourer

I build Plate Armour, either in Aluminium (preferred) or Steel (Mild). As such I prefer to specialise in 15th Century style armour, though I have built replicas of the Uruk-Hai armour from LoTR.

I've built pieces ranging across Sallets, to Norman Spaganhelms, Kettle Hats, Cuirasses, enclosed grieve, gauntlets (fingered and demi) articulated arms, gorgets, pauldrons, spaulders, great helms, and childrens armour.
