| If it is a cap firing musket, depending on the model, they sometimes come apart so some of the barrel detaches from the rest of the rifle. I have found this invaluable with mine in that I can take it apart and it sits quite nicely in the boot of my car underneath everything without having to put the seats down. It might be the same for yours (mine is a 3 band enfield) Just look under the bands down the barrel of the musket. If it does come apart, it's just a case of a screwdriver to fit it back together. It will probably fit in a rucksack then rather than having to lug an extra case around. Just a thought. Mark S. The Shades Leather
