Hi everyone,

Another plug for this event as we're short of numbers. Unless I receive a number of bookings within the next week then I'm afraid I will be forced to cancel. It promises to be a fantastic weekend of roleplaying, so if you're event considering coming along then please send some money, afterall it's only £20.

It's Last Chance Saloon time, people.

Unless I get more bookings, backed up with PayPal payments over the weekend then I will be forced to cancel the event. There was a terrific response from the existing WK players and crew when I first announced this so it would be a shame to let this die now.

With this event we're aiming to provide a unique roleplaying opportunity with some surprises thrown in. Now, I've heard a lot of people bitch over the last year or so about CP and LT, or who have said that Maelstrom isn't their cup of tea. If people don't support the smaller events then there's going to be no development in the hobby. Apologies if this comes across as being a rant, but this is something I really want to see run.

Did you manage to get enough folks to make this go ahead.

I received an email from Troll on facebook, sadly the required numbers didn't materialise so the WK player event is no more.

Hi all,

Sorry Troll you didnt get the numbers, ive had to take some time out recently due to various life things so been very quiet.

As Troll said, we ran Summer Kingdoms for 3 years and ended the story. i know this is unusual in most LRp games lol. but it was right for our events.

After a break of 18 months and getting over the im never running dark age stuff again we wrote Winterkingdoms a follow on but not linked campaign.

As with all our events - Winterkingdoms is a small highly interective dark and low fantasy event. we generally have a maximum of 20 players and around 16 - 20 crew.

We are full for the November event, Im just confirming with our regular crew thier availability. If you are interested in crewing please pm me. If you have no experience of heroic combat, heavy on the roleplay and interactive style of events then feel free to find out more. but our events would not generally suit an absolute novice. Although the rules are simple we emphasise roleplaying and do expect our crew to be an intelligent monster and be comfortable with a freeform think on your feet approach.

We pride ourselves on good plot, its as much player lead as story, high quality costumes, props and set dressing. Our crew work hard but seem to come back for more :o)

hope that helps - like i said please get in touch if you would like to crew. Crewing our events is free (we feed everyone) we just ask for your enthusiasm, basic (but good) kit and a willingness to play anything from lord la la to a simple warrior.

Beth
