| I attended it this year, and am going to the 2009 event too. It's a lot like a less serious version of the Nodal Point, as it still ties in with the nation-wide German larp campaign stuff as well. So for those of you who have been pondering whether to attend a KP at some point, but have feared that would be too academic and/or would have too little in common with British mainstream larping, Mittelpunkt will be a good choise. It's got some academic and some very serious content, but a lot of it is still closely tied in with the "doing fantasy larping for fun" -style of larping. You get the best of both worlds - and it seems that there's going to be a lot more international attendance each year, meaning you'll also meet larpers from countries other than Germany. I myself will be running a continuous just-walk-in-and-play Jeepform demonstration workshop there this time, most likely.

Have you, my Irish friend, considered the possibility that I may be doing this just to demonstrate the superiority of larping?
On a more serious note, I think showcasing the differences will both give people lots of new tools and make them more aware of what they like in the games they play.
And I am, after all, a Jeep member these days. Have to carry the torch now and then, right?
