| Not been to an event all year. March was just a little too early for me. It would have been nice as it was the weekend of my birthday but what with having poor circulation and all I thought it might be a little too cold for me and it would appear that the rather picturesque scenes on some of the photographs would confirm that. For events three and four - well someone has already mentioned that they are at Tolmers where it always seems to rain. PD can't control the weather but the unfortunate fact is for people such as myself who are wheelchair bound that if it does rain the site becomes a nightmare as opposed to say Blackwell where the area used for bar and stalls would probably still be fairly managable. I had one particular comic moment last year when after using a portaloo I went to the main loos to wash my hands and got stuck in the mud on the way out and couldnt' move. There aren't really any decent shower facilities for people with disabilities either as opposed to say... Drum Hill which has lovely piping hot water straight away too. So, with three events looking off the cards, when something else cropped up at the same time as event two, I elected to miss it even though it is usually my favourite event because it felt like it was going to be a bit of an inactive year for me in general. All this said, if the forecast for event four is for glorious sunshine, I might give it a bash and attempt to get around the place despite its obvious lack of decent facilities. I was disappointed to miss the fire dancing though, that looked really fun...

I'm not going. I wish I were. But I moved to America, and now I'll never go again! No more Maelstrom!

However, life is rather fabulous here in manhattan. So I may as well stop whining.
