From reading the background/setting document am I right in thinking that the DT will be playing the part of our Mysterious Benefactor? ie You provide the information but we decide how to act on it?

When I say we, I am hopefull that I won't be the only pointy eared one acting on behalf of the VG. (It almost sounds like some horrible disease or a primary school teacher giving you a gold star!) How many others are thinking of playing frail pointy eared ones?

I'm not at liberty to answer your first question.  *grin*

Everyone will receive a faction brief a bit closer to the event, with more info on their faction's membership, leadership, aims, attitude to others and mechanical benefits, plus some flavour text describing the faction's approach, and then the faction's three XP-bearing objectives for the event.  Those objectives will be set IC by your faction superiors and OOC by the refs at the first event, but hopefully more and more by players for future events.  How (or even if) you try to achieve those objectives is entirely up to you.

Over time, the IC situation may change, depending on PC and NPC actions.

There are a number of people who've booked to play VG characters, with others planning to as well...

Who's the boss? I have a feeling I know how this conversation is going to go:

Orc: "Who's in charge here?"
Elf: "I am!"
*stab*
Orc: "Who's in charge here?"
Elf #2: "You are."
