Yeah your right, but still (I dont wear glasses) if I knocked someones glasses off* its just general humanity that says let em pick em back up, surely**. If your good at fighting or casting spells its not going to matter if they going to get 10 secs to get their ooc glasses and compose themselves + only losers would pagger someone on their back while theyre picking up glasses.

*obviously if this was the gathering on sunday I wouldnt tell 1000s of people to stop fighting but in skirmish sized larps just a little common sense nobody loses the flow and everybody is safe, nobody dies or gets injured. Its people who dont know how to fight safely, are too crap to fight fairly that cause more actual calls for safety which ruin the flow of combat than "accidentals".

**Just reminded me of a larp I went to where a friend (unfortunately not myself) did a flurry of kung fu manouvres (with larp safe kali sticks (Heaven 6 if your interested)) that caused the 3 crew that were charging across the clearing towards him backpedal so fast one of their glasses stayed stationary while their heads followed their retreating bodies..was funny to watch. In which case its only sporting to help them find them in the dusklight after you finished laughing your socks off.

It's also about whether there's an IC penalty for doing so (e.g. letting people get hit while they pick their specs up).  So I think the simplest solution is a quick time-freeze, at least for the size of event we're going for.

Arg....the glasses thread is getting out of control....

I'm really looking forward to the game.  All of the changes look good to me so far...
