Hi again,

This is somewhat jokey post, but at its heart it's fairly true.  In Insurrection we want to avoid the dreaded three Fs: faff, flange and fuss.

1. No Faff
We want to avoid having to stop the action for protracted periods while players seek ref calls or all the refs are busy briefing the crew.  For that reason, we'll always have at least one ref on player duty and one on monster duty (with the other two filling NPC roles or whatever) and hopefully won't impact on your experience as a result.

2. No Flange
We've all played in systems where a well-loved character dies and gets brought back by GM fiat.  That's cool sometimes, but for Insurrection we want to apply the rules harshly and fairly all the time.  If you're dead, and people don't have a means of bringing you back (and let's be clear -- they don't), then you're dead.  You can either join the crew for a bit or come straight back in as a new character.  We'll do all we can to help integrate your new PC, but we'll always apply the rules equally to everyone.

3. No Fuss
No one likes a whinger.  If you've got a legitimate concern then we'll try to deal with it there and then, but otherwise let's try and leave that stuff until after the event.  Keeping on pushing a rules issue won't get you any further...

Well, aye.  That said, people can make things easier for themselves by not telling anyone OOC something they wouldn't tell them IC.  If we can all agree that people using information they've gained OOC for IC benefit is unacceptable, then we can all agree to take steps to minimise the opportunities for this to happen...
