Ah that'd be the refs. I see what you mean. The gameworld magic and how it works is decided by the refs. It's upto the players to discover how it all works.

Just out of interest could this not be done by a player going "My God the Light!!" Screeming and covering his eyes and seeing how the crew/players reacted?
This could all end up very well for him, or he could be dubbed "mad" and left to die by his compatriots.
I think the use of Ref's should be left to a minimum if at all possible, the same with crew.
I also think Crew should be done on a vollunteer basis, but these people (considering the way I envisage the game working) would have put in money etc. have characters and be doing this out of the goodness of there hearts.
(By the way, am I the only one slightly scared by how little input we are having to put into this to see it fly away?)
