Calam is a new larp in Belgium trying to incorporate the experiences we had from Scandinavian, UK and German larps.
The system is for Belgium revolutionising as it is one without any skills nor skill points. Instead we opt for a system of actions between events (a bit like the downtime of maelstrom).
Official game language is English, but other languages are also allowed as they will be 'dialects' in our world.

Hi Jerm, I had a quick browse around the site but seem to miss the main thing of cost, when and where? Not that I can see myself going, I'd love to but getting down the road to a LRP event is difficult at the moment let alone flying over to the continent. However it's useful to know what to aim for if ever my fortunes change.

Cheers Jerm.....if it's not staring me in the face I can't see it. Plus folks sre lazy (like me). How many times a year are you planning on running? If dates are laid out well in advance UK players can plan well ahead. Just thinking aloud....I know many players come to the UK to LRP, but UK LRPers need a bit of a shove (like me). Travel costs would be useful eg examples of flights and buses from the airport to the site. Is there any on site accomodation and food? If all I had to bring was my costume and weapons then in my mind I can see myself hopping on a plane with a big bag. Being picked up at the airport and taken to the site would make things easier as well. As I said just an idea to help wrench UK LRPers away from out little island!

At this moment we are going for once a year, but I'm seeing us doing at least twice a year in a couple of years.
For our next event we will publish the date well in advance (at least 11 months before the event takes place (with lower start prices)).
I'll see that we give enough travel info to the site (Belgium is such a small country that most people use the car :-) )
I'll keep the picking up at the airport in mind, but normally it won't be a problem if you don't have loads of bagage :-). If you come this year, I will pick you up personally :-)
Next year there will also be the possibility to rent an IC tent as a PC. For NPC's the IC tents will be provided free of charge.

| Ah that's cool. It'd be next year I'm afraid. The IC tent hire would be useful and if there was bedding thrown in that would be a bonus, it's all that kind of camping stuff that is bulky! Anyway maybe see you next year....I'll keep an eye on the site.
