| I send by 1st Class Royal Mail. Everything. So I don't understand how you could charge, including the wrapping etc, a tenner. And adding to the postage "to cover the cost just in case it sells for 99p" isn't something I want to get into an argument about. I'm sure there are plenty of other people out there, like the people that started mentioning the price of the postage for example, that can take that one up. If you auction and are worried about minimum prices, put a reserve on. Call it insurance. Everyone runs the risk on 99p sales that they will get - you guessed it - 99p. Welcome to Ebay.

as I said before the prices royal mails website quoted me for the size/weight said over £7:50, the extra was to cover bubble wrap, card, brown paper, tape and travel to the post office. And also as said before (and to the people who emailed me via ebay) I am more than happy for pickup or to arrange a agrreable meeting place as I travel alot at the moment.
If the postage had been quoted as lower i would have charged lower, only trying to recuop some of the money I have spent on a hobby I can no longer enjoy.
PS if anyone is interested in the xbow send me a pm as ebay have removed it, £65inc

makai-larp (2/1/2008) If you auction and are worried about minimum prices, put a reserve on. Call it insurance. Everyone runs the risk on 99p sales that they will get - you guessed it - 99p. Welcome to Ebay.In fairness, I think what Jack was saying was that there's nothing worse than selling something for 99p and, on top of that (as if to add insult to injury), making a loss on the postage costs. Not that he's trying to make sure he gets something for what he's selling by intentionally ripping people off on the postage costs. That's cool Jack, but in that case could you PM me the link to where you got the quote from? Because it would appear we're seriously undercharging for postage. Cheers Lynne
