As you are doing an art degree you may not have been taught some of the things Allen is talking about as they may not be in the syllabus, though there may be some crossover I suppose. So I don't think there are any lost marks for not recognising them, any more than I would expect you (or Allen) to be able to describe the details of the PKC pathway in cell signalling . However, having been given the names of the concepts you can now look them up and learn more about them. Its never a question of intelligence but rather the opportunity to learn (Aargh! I am quoting teacher training stuff! Stop me!!!! ).And remember, you can always ask people to proofread things for you. I inflicted my thesis on several people. Send me the pictures when you can, I look forward to seeing them.

| How about taking a quick look at Van Gough... Thats an example of obsessive love if ever I saw one....what was that, you're not keen on me....here's my severed ear in a box!!!!! You could also look at Cosplay, but that might take you down a dark, sordid path from which you will never return. Matt J -----

He he...cosplay yes i did think of including that. I am guilty of such crimes myself i have my haome made obsessively detailed Lulu final fantasy X costume hanging on my costume rail! Good point about artists in general i wonder if we are more disposed to obsessive love than people from other walks of life?
I found a helpful book, obsessive love by Dr Susan Forward, its a bit self helpish but its been useful and got me off to a good start as have all the helpfull suggestions Thank you all! Could still do with some exaples of peoples obsessions though if anyone wants to share....?
