So Oli and I are still plugging away with our plans for Insurrection, but we're getting held up on needing monster kit -- costumes and weapons. I was wondering if anyone out there knew of cheap providers of OK quality stuff in bulk...

| Yeah, I just spotted that myself, we renewed the domain (automatically) yesterday and it hasn't gone through the system yet. Should be sorted soon, though. Setting info System

Joe for your early games I would seriously suggest borrowing the kit and build it up over time and then keep your eye out for stuff.
Make it yourself is the cheapest way to get generic monster kit but also work out what you need.
You don't want to invest alot in a game and then not make the money back. Run on the basis of each game breaks even and you slowly buuild up your stock of kit, props and equipment.

| Yep, use your own kit where you can. Supplement it from charity shops and e-bay sales (but make sure you get bargains). Beg, borrow or steal from friends. See if anyone you know is clearing out their kit cupboard and see what you can get from that (we did rather well from that recently...). Run your first event 'cheap and cheerful' and then build up your kit quality over time. Unless you have a guaranteed player base who have all paid well in advance (sometimes possible - we had it with Pirates as the event was invite only and the 'player group' as a whole paid us a set fee regardless of how many of them actually turned up to the event) or some form of grant or loan you won't be able to get large amounts of kit for your first event unless you personally take the hit in cost and that is not a good idea as your first event may not get you the return on your investment.

| Thanks for all the advice! Will definitely be helpful. As an aside, the website's working again now. Thanks!
