I would like a big, two handed shiny sword, about 60 -70" long, Good construction that won't wobble or bend, can anyone suggest a good manufacturer for such an item? I have looked at most of the sites listed above, and they seem to either not provide what I want, or I can't get hold of them.

Suggestions?

Depends what you're after... do you want an historically accurate Zweihander or just an awesome big sword? If it's the former you'll have to get it custom made (like what I'm going to have to do to get a longsword of the proper proportions).

Give me a call at Skian Mhor and I'll make one for you. Best bet for a large usable two hander is a carbon fibre cored weapon, usual cost is around £120 depending on size and design, I'm assuming that as your using the term Zweihander that you want a  Landsknecht style Flamberge? call me on 01555 894787 during office hours or email me at sean@skianmhor.co.uk

...and for some people that have tried and failed, I don't remember seeing an email from either of you?

I personally wouldn't go anywhere near something that big as it's generally not what I go for.  46" max justabout.  If Sean is quoting that price i'm sure he'll be perfect for turning out exactly what you want.  His work is excellent.

makai, I didn't email you because you didn't provide anything near the sort of size that I want.

as for Sikan Mhor, someone at my LARP group has one which is really quite bendy, and he has said that he would only recommends you for shorter weapons, that said, I may give you a call to see if you can convince me otherwise.

I wasn't looking for the flamberge style, but otherwise, yeah, something with a 'leather' covered ricasso and a Parierhaken

Medlock does a good line in two handers with no 'wang' factor by using different coring. He'll even do you a proper barred guard if you want.

You might get a plain one if you get to his stall early at an event. Failing that you can order from him.... at an event.

Which is a pain but he has too much work to be taking phone orders (unless anyone knows different?)

I didn't think Medlock attended events or took custom orders.
I thought he sold everything through a few retailers (currently including Adventurer's Mart and Monster Boutique).

Erm..... no.... he does indeed sell stock through retailers. He certainly attends events.... all year round.... I can only assume you dont go to the LT which is where he makes most money (biggest attendance is where the traders go).... he always appears to have far more stock than anyone else.... hes at every single LT event.

Hes also run stalls at CP events and elsewhere....

He does take custom orders.... from people in person.... not over the phone. I know this for a fact because ive possessed three custom jobs from him thus far.
