Hi All,

As mentioned there is a 24 hour earth based catered event in the pipeline.

I now have details, however… For the event to go ahead I need genuine commitment, as the budget is tight on this due to the site & catering costs.

So…

Venue: Miskin Mill Scout Camp http://www.miskin.org.uk/mmsv/index.html, Miskin. South Wales.
It’s about 30 minutes closer to England from Candleston

Date: Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th January 2008 (midday to midday)

Cost: £35 per person.

Attendees will get: +1 Vitality, 4 Feats and 3 months downtime for their character.

I need to know numbers (I’m not asking for cash, just confirmation of you attendance) as I need a minimum of 20 people to make it even close to being viable.

Please leave a yes or no here with your name. I need to have confirmed numbers by 9:00 am on Monday 29th October (that is how long I have the site pre-booked without me giving them a deposit).

If people want to come on Friday, your more than welcome to, however… the site wants an additional £100 for the Friday night, so if people want to pay an additional amount..! Then let me know if you want to come on Friday & I’ll divide the £100 by the number of people who want to come on Friday! (It is probably worth it for those people with a long drive, which is about 50% of the player base)

Once I know whether I have numbers, then I will confirm if the event will happen.

Essentially the event is going to take the form of a conferance and formal dinner, so no combat but plenty of political intrige and a chance to get to know other players and characters in a differant context to the usual offworld operations. Not to mention an opportunity to get drunk and flounce around in some dressy duds.

Stargate LRP is now being run by the players with various individuals taking a hand in organising and running events to considerable success. If you attended an SG event in the past and fancy giving it a try again or are new to the concept, then this may prove to be a fun introduction into the current lie of the land.

Currently we stand at 16 people so we need at least 4 more. It's going to be quite a different sort of event to the usual UKGC affair and promises to be a lot of fun.
