Semi-related question.

I'm heading to Borwick for an event in a month or so and was wondering roughly how far it is from the nearest station (Newtown I believe) and whether a cab up to the is feasible and not prohibitively expensive?

Cheers

Shaun.

It's a cab-ride easily enough, apart from the last stretch which last time I was there (2 years ago) was up an evil rocky road that ate axles and exhausts. Don't know if that's changed since, sorry.

The hill is massive and needs a decent engine to get up it. However, it is not that far to walk so getting the taxi driver to drop you at the bottom of the hill is not a problem. Unless, that is, you have far too much kit to carry

Perfect, thanks for the responses guys.

I'm sending most of my kit along the day before so a walk up a hill shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers

Its not a scout site. Its a farm which has converted some of its land to LRP use. A converted barn to use as a tavern, a stockade and a lot of land.

There was a website but i have no idea what the url is at the moment.
