| Hi guys You know there are no events for kids!!! I thought it would be great for some one to run events especialy for children but with all the aspects of an adult event. I am aware of the reasons it could not be done however i still think it would be great. Yours Daz

Do Portly Pixie still do younger players stuff?
Labyrinthe does Young Player adventure for the 11- to 15 range or summat.
I think Mr Rimmer has done some LRP for Yoof stuff??

But I do think LRP is a hobby best enjoyed in a positive state of mind.
If you approach a game with a positive attitude then you're more likely to enjoy yourself there.

| Portly Pixie no longer exist. They closed doors a few years back and sold all their kit. LT have done linears for kids. Main problems are: - Insurance (many LRP insurance policies assume over 16 taking part in combat so you may need to pay more for one that covered kids) - CRB certification. All adults involved need to be CRB registered, possibly advanced disclosure. This even counts if it is only parents of the kids involved. - At least one person (a scout leader, teacher, youth leader etc) who is trained and experienced in handling kids just to make sure that order is kept. Blood red roses has young crew along occasionally - usually recruited by one of the teachers from a nearby school who happens to be a LRPer.

| Hi I think i already know but what does LT stand for is it lorien trust? As ive checked there website but i want to find out about day events for kids in the uk and dont mind who its with. Yours daz

| Yes, LT is the Lorien Trust. They tend to run the linear events as part of their main events - the Bank Holiday Gathering for example. I beleive LT allow you to take kids along. For day events you really need to talk to your local club and see what they can organise. Where are you based?

| Actually CRB is not a legal requirement- though it is desirable- to run a voluntary group like this one, especially if parents are involved, no more than babysitters need to be registered child minders. Your local youth service will have a training programme for part time staff and local volunteers, it's probably worth talking to them, they can also CRB you (free as you're a volunteer)- contact your county council.
