I was taking with some French lrpers when bureaucracy came up. I made referance to the Asterix comic where the protagonists have to get a form filled out in the 'house of madness' where the Romans civil servants work. They told me that for the an Asterix larp they made the players go to serveral different desks just to register like in the comic as an in joke.

So Bureaucracy the LRP, who is the first to sign up. Oh wait section 9c hasn't been filled out, you'll need to go to room ten on the second floor.

I will as longs i can bring a weapon because i know there will be a point when frustration will need to be vented, and im sure im not the only one who likes the idea of beating on pleb at desk 9C when he tells you you filled in the form in blue not black so you will have to redo the whole 20 pages.

Our nordic cousins ran something along these lines some years ago. The premise was set in a morally bankcrupt advertising company, with an invented language of corp-speak.

And that is unusual practice?

Matt Pennington (4/26/2007)

But I do think LRP is a hobby best enjoyed in a positive state of mind.
If you approach a game with a positive attitude then you're more likely to enjoy yourself there.
