The second game could be set in the 'control tower' or similar building with the people who are making them fight, with lots of betting and some do-gooders trying to subvert the system from inside and some reporters trying to work out what's going on and get news out (maybe even with potential to be thrown back into the BR game if you're on the good-aligned side).

Could be, but you'd need to have plot for interaction within the tower and some excuse for why people are showing up in dribs and drabs. It needs to be an exciting bit of roleplay in its own right and not just a spectator gallery for the ongoing combat game.
You're entitled to your opinion as long as you realise it's wrong.

Or, they arn't really dead...
Maybe they wake to find that they are being 'experimented' on, and the whole Battle-Royale is also to give guinea pigs for evil/ballistics experiments.
Might make people stop killing each other - for a few seconds...

| i went to a horror event called Slasher many years ago and all the players played multiple characters and the whole idea was to go thru as many chars deaths as possible, so you could try that approach where there is NO crew whatsoever, you wouldnt need a crew as everyone could bring E.G. 3 seperate costumes and weapons are handed out at random, and every time a player dies they change costume and go back into battle and try to get the highest body count! for games like that i like to use blank firers for combat rather than BB guns coz its more like being in a film, plus not everyone will have a gun, its a good oppurtunity to bring out special weapons like latex chainsaws and stuff like that!
patience is my strongest ally........
And so is a Chainsaw !!!

Two forces of undead - if you slay an enemy trooper you can take the body back to your Masssterrrr and have him raise it again as one of your side.
If left long enough in the bushes, a 'dead' corpse will get up and stagger home to be repaired.
No one is ever "out" and one side wins by overwhelming the other side?
You could have people playing the Living with certain powers - e.g. field necromancy - but if they get killed they are just a body to be raised.
?
Hmmmm on-site objectives like several little Magicy Places where you can do better Field Necromancy, NPC/monster teams of Priests going around laying these people to rest. Laid to rest go back and form new teams of Priests who sneak into the woods to do their despicable Good!!

If you approach a game with a positive attitude then you're more likely to enjoy yourself there.

I like the idea of the rolling dead, if the game included undead/posseseed and demons, it could work well.
I dont think it would need to be just 2 teams though, you could have many starting teams, and they dont all need to be undead sides, preistly sides can try to lay to rest or exorsize the 'dead' players, but the bodies would have to be gathered for storage, so they dont get used again (allowing for rescue missions) Demon sides can possess through ritual magic and the undead can infect though bite or injection (or something). Set it as a reallity TV show gone mad, annd therefore the reason for the artificial end, and the winners can be the team with the most bodies in their command.
Also due to it being a TV show add addtional points for best dressed and most courageous effort things like that, and have a real world prize (beer any one) and a game bonus for the next time you run it Better starting equiment as last years winners etc.
Something like that and I'll bring a team to play

Its starting to sound scarely possible....
Plus diferent races/teams could have slightly different 'raising the dead' styles.
Ie a cyborb/robot side would have a 'repair guy' rather than a priest...
The possiblities are huge!!!

as a suggestion.
not having seen the films i can say but..
Set the Game before any of the films.
Have it so that effectively the collar doesnt exist.
Try to base the game of players killing each other through paranoia.
have all the players know that their characters have been told if they dont kill they will be killed, and this could make for a great game.
And if your character dies, well the crew will probably need people to go and make sure those that dont kill, or those that are trying to make a "team" die, or there could be a kinda timed release on the "new players" in the game.
