Not *directly* relevant to the thread title, but here goes...

Bead bags do work quite nicely, for all injuries, not just firearms injuries. The basic idea is that you dont know how serious your wound is until someone with a bead bag reaches you (for example, a healer). I've seen them used in various guises, from a bead draw for all injuries to bead draws only for wounds that are left untreated for X amount of time.

Its a good system because it assumes that the average person doesnt know how serious his/her own injury is.
