I've got an idea floating about in my head for an event, involving about 50 people in total. I'd want a site that I could run most, if not all of it in a dungeon-like area so I'm thinking tunnels, caves or possibly an indoor site that could be made up to look the part, windows covered etc.

Can anyone give me any info on sites that might be suitable, preferabbly somewhere between London and Wales (I know thats quite vague!) but I'll go further afield if I need to. I know of the Labyrinthe caves and Medlocks place but no details, or even if the Laby caves are avaible to other groups.

Wisdom anyone? Or failing that infomation

WWii Deep shelter in Epsom, South West London?

Set of tunnels entirely underground, separately controllable lights for each tunnel apart from the long access tunnel in.
Small scrubby woodland up above ground which is quite usable.

Main use is as an airsoft site.

it is larp friendly, there are a few disadvantages though
size (the total tunnel lengths are 6 x 60yard tunnels intersecting 3 85yard tunnels. There is a central room in there used as the safezone / administration / tavern) - only space for about 20 cars tightly packed in the site.
Above ground part : It is right next to a road, although there is a decent set of trees, so its not distracting for the motorists.
One portaloo inside.

The airsoft runs every other weekend and on wednesday evenings - so any other times are usually available to book.

And if you wanted crew/helpers, theres a few of us local who help out there.

Instant dungeon feel. Easy to scare people.

Hi,

The caves site at Labyrinthe is used for Labyrinthe events every weekend of the year, but there are a few days when it can potentially be made available to other clubs.  This will predominantly be on Bank Holidays in Spring/Summer when we could run overland events for Labyrinthe.

We have also recently let the caves out to other systems for overnight adventures, from 8pm on a Friday to 8am on Saturday (after all its just as dark down there during the day as at night )

There has also been a fair amount of redevelopment work done in the caves recently too, with the addition of a permanent tavern and two temples.

If anyone would be interested in using the caves site then drop me an e-mail at bookings@labyrinthe.co.uk with some details.

Andy
