I would imagine that this is something that has tried in the past and has failed miserably, but...
Why is polyurethane varnish not used over latex in plce of isoflex weapon construction?
I just wanted to know, as it worked wonders on the painted design on my leather jacket. Strong, shiny and flexible.
If nobody has tried it I think I'll give it a go and see if it works

| I've never used it. Would be interested in seeing how it goes.

| Tried it back in the early 90's, when your leather jacket flexes it does it over a fairly wide area, when a weapons latex flexes it tends to be much more localised (and smaller) so the varnish cracks instead of bending.
